Charged With a Crime but Have Coronavirus Concerns? Get Your Free Case Evaluation From Home

How to Retain a Criminal Defense Attorney During the Coronavirus Pandemic

Have you recently been arrested? If so, you may be struggling between concerns over COVID-19 and the need to obtain legal representation. Fortunately, you do not have to choose because we offer free case evaluations remotely.

Reach out to us using our free case evaluation form. Kirk Anderson will then get in touch with you to provide more information and help guide you through the legal process.

We understand that criminal matters can sometimes be rather complicated. As such, we also offer free telephone consultations. This will provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and get to know us a little better.

E-Sign Convenience

For your convenience, we make it possible to sign legal documents using eSign. This is an encrypted software program that allows you to sign things from anywhere there is an Internet connection. All your documents are stored digitally, so there is no need to print anything.

Digital Discovery

As a defendant, you are entitled to certain information the prosecutor has against you. That doesn’t change just because there is a pandemic. Accordingly, we file electronic motions for discovery with all area courts.

We are also prepared to receive large digital files of documents pertaining to your case. Whenever necessary, we can also interview witnesses or take depositions via teleconference as well.

Plea Bargaining

There may be times when accepting a plea bargain would be more advantageous than going to court. As your case unfolds, we will be in close contact with the prosecutor. We can perform much of our negotiations by phone or video conference as well.

Remote Representation

On March 20, 2020, Chief Justice Lorie Gildea issued a statewide order titled Continuing Operations of the Courts of the State of Minnesota under a Statewide Peacetime Declaration of Emergency.

This order provides that testimony for plea hearings, sentencing hearings, and probation revocation hearings can be provided remotely. It also requires that most adult criminal proceedings be temporarily suspended unless they can be conducted remotely.

Not everyone has access to technology. Those who do may not always be sure how to use it.

As our client, we will ensure you have access to the technology you need and that you also become familiar with how to use it. As a result, you will always be prepared for any legal proceedings, whether they are remote or in person.

Full Range of Services

Just because we provide remote legal services does not mean that the quality of our representation has changed. Here at the Anderson Law Firm, protecting your rights is always our utmost concern. We will fight hard to help you maintain your innocence as well as your safety during this very difficult time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to quickly adapt, and our law firm is no exception. As an essential business, we will continue to provide legal assistance to Minnesota residents at a time when they need it the most. Our methods may have changed, but our commitment to excellence has not.

Thanks to modern technology, you can schedule a consultation, upload documents, and stay up-to-date on how your case is progressing without ever leaving your home. Guarantee your right to a fair trial by reaching out to us today.
